Rental FAQs

Can I rent the boat in the background?
Yes, she is an AquaSport Osprey 175...although she now has a brand new Suzuki 70 hp 4-stroke...awesome engine! New pic coming soon.

What are the times of the rentals?
AM Half-Day is 8:30 to 12:30. PM Half-Day is 1:00 - 5:30.
Full-Day is 8:30 - 5:30. We also offer an early AM Fisherman's or email for more info.

Does the price include fuel?
No. You will need to re-fuel the boat at the convenient gas dock. Half-Day rentals typically burn 5 - 10 gallons of fuel, while a Full-Day will burn twice that amount.

Do I need a license or experience to rent a boat?
No license is necessary, however some prior boating experience is helpful. We will rent to first-timers if they are confident in their ability to navigate and operate the boat. We will reject some first timers if they do not have the right attitude.

How many people can go out on the boat?
While the Coast Guard capacity limit is 6 people, we would not recommend more than 4 adults. With kids 6 people can work, although a little crowded.

Do you have any larger boats?
We do have access to larger boats, please call or email for more information.

Can we fish?
Absolutely. Bring your own tackle, or rent some inshore spinning gear from us. Don't forget your newly-required MA salt-water fishing license.

Can we get out of the sun?
Yes, our boat is equipped with a bimini top (which can also be lowered for casting while fishing).

What should we bring with us?
Sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, water, snacks, lunch, beach towels, camera, cell phone (yes there is coverage on the water). We provide all PFDs and other required safety equipment (although you are free to bring your own).

What will you tell us before we go out?
After signing and completing about 5 minutes of paperwork, one of our friendly staff will show you and your crew the location of all the USCG required safety gear on the boat. The operation of the motor. As well as where and how far you can go, familiarize you with the local charts, explaining the red/green buoy navigation, and a basic explanation of the GPS to aid in navigation.

Can we tube or water ski?
Yes and no. Tubing is skiing.

Are there places to buy lunch?
Yes, there are a few public docks in the area with access to restaurants. Our staff will be happy to fill you in on the options.
